Pantone for the Textile Design workflow

The PANTONE Fashion, Home + Interiors System is the global leader in colour standards for the fashion industry. Designers know that when they specify with PANTONE, the colour they intend can be achieved. Each of the colours in the PANTONE Fashion, Home + Interiors Color System is easily reproducible, as it contains only dyestuffs that are globally available, approved, and optimised for colour constancy and colourfastness.

PANTONE choose a cotton standard, the designer’s preferred material of choice, because it is the most stable and versatile material, enabling it to be more accepted as a colour standard across a wider variety of material applications.

The heart of the FHI System is the swatch card.

In fact, it is the standard which every other FHI product references. Made on double-layered fabric to the most exact colour specifications in the industry, the PANTONE Swatch Card has been formulated for colour fastness and colour constancy.


There are 2,625 colours in the PANTONE FHI System, available in a variety of formats, for every need and price point. All of the PANTONE FHI colours on cotton are also available as lacquered coating, so you can match your textiles to coated buttons, zippers, trimmings, and accessories. Also great for leather!
