Elevate Your Creative Workflow with the EIZO ColorEdge CG2700X

The difference between a good monitor and the right monitor shows up in the work. The EIZO ColorEdge CG2700X is a 27-inch colour management monitor built for professionals who can't afford to get colour wrong; photographers who need every skin tone to hold, videographers grading HDR content for cinema and broadcast, and post-production teams where a single calibration inconsistency costs hours of rework.

This isn't a monitor with a few professional-grade features bolted on. Colour accuracy is the entire architecture.

Ready in Three Minutes. Reliable All Day.

Most monitors need 30 minutes or more to stabilise after powering on. The CG2700X reaches stable colour and brightness in just three minutes, whether you're in a controlled studio or working on location. For photographers tethering on set or colourists under deadline, this is the difference between a monitor you can trust and one you have to work around.

Once stable, it stays that way. The CG2700X uses a temperature sensor to monitor conditions both inside the panel and in the surrounding environment, making real-time adjustments to maintain accurate gradations, colour, and brightness as temperatures shift throughout a session. EIZO's AI-assisted estimation algorithm, developed with a patented approach, takes this further, distinguishing between different temperature change patterns to calculate even more precise corrections than conventional sensors allow.

Colour That's Verified

The CG2700X covers 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space and 98% of the DCI-P3 digital cinema standard. These aren't aspirational figures; they're backed by an adjustment certificate shipped with every unit, confirming that each monitor has been individually calibrated at the factory before it reaches you.

Maintaining that accuracy over time is built into the hardware. ColorEdge were the first monitors in the world to integrate a calibration sensor directly into the panel. On the CG2700X, that sensor swings onto the screen on a schedule you set, recalibrating automatically without requiring any third-party device or manual intervention. The sensor retracts flush when not in use and takes up minimal screen space during calibration, so it doesn't interrupt your workflow.

Underpinning all of this is a 16-bit look-up table driving 10-bit simultaneous display - over one billion colours, rendered with smooth gradations and minimal Delta-E between adjacent tones. A 3D LUT adjusts colours on an individual RGB cubic table, which is why the CG2700X handles neutral grey tones with accuracy that flat colour profiles simply can't match. EIZO's Digital Uniformity Equaliser (DUE) corrects brightness and chromaticity deviations across the entire screen, so the colour you see in the corner is the colour you see in the centre.

HDR Grading at 500 cd/m²

The CG2700X supports both HLG and PQ gamma curves for HDR content, with a peak brightness of 500 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1450:1. For broadcast and cinema work, that means you can actually evaluate HDR material on the monitor you're grading it on rather than relying on a separate reference display.

A Luminance Warning function marks areas of the image that exceed displayable brightness at current settings, with thresholds at 300, 500, 1,000, and 4,000 cd/m². The BT.709 Gamut Warning identifies areas of a BT.2020 image that fall outside the BT.709 colour space, converting them to grey, so you can see exactly how your content will translate for HDTV audiences before delivery.

Preset colour modes cover the full range of professional standards:

  • DCI-P3
  • BT.709
  • BT.2020
  • PQ (DCI and BT.2100)
  • HLG (BT.2100)
  • Adobe RGB
  • sRGB

The DCI 4K Cropping function lets you work with a DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) signal on the monitor's native 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) panel, with three crop position options. A 4K Zoom function gives you immediate access to pixel-level detail checks directly from the front controls.

Built for Precision, Sized for Work

Size is a deliberate choice. At 27 inches and 164 ppi, the CG2700X offers sharper pixel density than larger ColorEdge models while still providing enough workspace to display 4K content natively alongside toolbars, palettes, and secondary windows without compromise.

It's also a monitor you can take with you. A built-in carrying handle on the rear makes transport straightforward, and a 3-minute warm-up means no long acclimatisation period when you arrive on location.

The monitor includes a magnetic shading hood in the box, newly designed to attach without connecting separate parts and lightweight enough not to feel cumbersome. The stand offers height, tilt, swivel, and portrait orientation adjustment, with a quick-release mechanism for repositioning without tools.

A Single Cable Does More

USB Type-C connectivity carries video, USB data, LAN, and up to 94W of power delivery through one cable. For a MacBook Pro or similarly demanding laptop, that means no separate power brick - just plug in and start working.

The built-in RJ-45 LAN port provides a stable wired network connection even on laptops without one, and enables ColorNavigator Network for centralised colour management across multiple monitors from a web browser, useful for studios and post-production houses managing colour consistency across workstations.

Additional inputs include:

  • DisplayPort
  • HDMI
  • Four USB ports for peripherals

Built to the Standard the Work Demands

The CG2700X carries a 5-year manufacturer's warranty covering all components, including the LCD panel. Brightness and colour consistency are warranted for up to 10,000 hours of use, and EIZO's zero bright sub-pixel guarantee runs for six months from the date of purchase.

For professionals whose work lives or dies by what they see on screen, the CG2700X gives you the tools to verify what you see, and the engineering to back that up every day.
