The Pantone 5 Light D50 Viewing Booth includes five standardised light-sources for visual colour assessment and quality control.
This configuration is best suited to the colour assessment of products and print-work under D50 (5,000°K Daylight) viewing conditions - for checking print work for colour accuracy against a product or a proof. The inclusion of TL84 (Store Light), CWF (Store Light), Illuminant A (Home light), and UV (Ultra Violet) allows samples to also be checked under a comprehensive range of additional standard illuminants - to assess how they will appear in such conditions and crucially also indicates colour mismatches caused by the metameric effect from lighting conditions on the product. The UV light source indicates the presence of optical brighteners in a product.
